How to E-Sign GST Enrollment Application using Aadhar Number?


The GST Enrollment Application can be signed either by using Digital Signature (DSC) or by E-Signing. The use of DSC is mandatory for Company & LLP and optional for others. Any person other than Company & LLP can E-Sign the application.

The facility to E-Sign has been enabled in the GST Common Portal from today i.e. 25-01-2017. E-Sign can be done using Aadhar Number which should be linked to a valid Mobile Number. It means that if Mobile Number is not registered with Aadhar, then the 1st thing would be to get it amended to included Mobile Number in which One Time Password (OTP) would be sent.

Thereafter, the applicant would be required to subscribe to E-Sign service, which is NOT a free service. Once the button ‘Submit with E-Signature’ is clicked, a new pop window is displayed for a Declaration as below:

“I hereby agree to authenticate myself using my AADHAAR through C-DAC eSign Service and affix my signature generated through eSign on the above Application Form.


Note: Please ensure you have subscribed to C-DAC eSign Service before proceeding”


The eSign Service can be subscribed for 30 days on payment of Rs. 100 or for 365 days on payment of Rs. 500
